What students will face in university and beyond will prepare them for their next endeavor. They will leave what they are used to, what they have known all their life. A new outlook on life without old restrictions will take some adjustment when entering the University they’re attending. They will find that they will need to make new friends, become accustom to new professors, and live differently to prepare them for their next step in life when they leave senior school.

There are several ways that a University will allow freshman to be introduced to fellow students. There are dances, class orientation, and gatherings on the quad for the new student to meet new people. This is when they the foundation of life long friendships begin. These bonds will also help the student mature into what kind of person they will become.

Professors are part of each students growing process. It is important for them to impart the knowledge they have on a certain subject but they will also put a strong emphasis on how the freshman handles the work. Students will have to not only manage the work load given to them in that class but also in any other classes they will be taking that semester.

A certain time is set aside each week by the professor. This is to help students resolve any problems that may occur in class. The student must take this seriously and approach the professor if help is needed in order to get the most out of the coarse.

More opportunities for entertainment also arise during this time in the students life. Having more options will be a dramatic change for students and will not be something that they are used to.

Balancing work and play will be just as important as learning the properties of physics. Without guidance and restrictions from their parents having more fun then working will be appealing to the student. It will be difficult to resist the temptation of life without rules. Once they stay centered in this spectrum they will be more prepared for the events after graduation.

Senior year will bring more experience and will be much easier then the first year. The friends they have made throughout their years in the University will help them along the way. They share more ideals with the friends that have maintained faithful throughout the duration. Their teachers also become more of a guide post for their future.

Although they have accumulated many credits they may have had the same professors more then once. Now that the student has learned to play hard and work hard and have learned to glean as much knowledge as possible from the professor they will be more prepared for their future. Their purpose is clearer now as they are on the cusp of their future.

What the student has faced in the University has prepared them for the beyond. The new challenges that await them such as finding a job, sustaining the friendships they have cultivated and having fun will seem more doable. They are ready for the next chapter and will utilize everything that they have just learned to help them live a successful future.

Since the 1970′s, the physician and patient ratio has been steadily increasing across the country. The result of the increase is much less time spent with patients. This can result in errors in diagnosis, a loss in developing a personal trust with the patient, and patients not receiving proper medical care. However, there are a number of ways to improve physician to patient ratio which will result in more time spent with the patient, more time on preventive care, improving medical care, and developing better relationships between the doctor and patient.

Ways to improve the physician to patient ratio:

1. Arrange for physician schedules to be more consistent. For instance, schedule physicians to work 3 or 4 days consecutively instead of varying ‘off and on’ days. There can often be much time and expense wasted during doctor transitions. As well, a doctor on a set schedule will spend more time with a particular patient.

2. Improve physician communication with staff and other physicians when they are scheduled for their days off. This includes making use of modern technology such as email and websites to update the staff about patients.

3. Talk to physicians about the benefits of maintaining a consistent schedule as it applies to patient care. Engage the physician to come up with a positive and effective agreement to implement a more effective schedule that benefits patient care.

4. Hire more Physician Assistants. These assistants are able to perform many of the tasks normally performed by doctors. This can include diagnosing and prescribing medical treatments, arranging for diagnostic tests, preventive care counseling, writing medical prescriptions, performing physical exams, and much more.

5. Hire more Nurse Practitioners: A Nurse Practitioner is a registered nurse that acquired additional education and training to carry out some of the tasks normally performed by a doctor. This can include: treating illnesses and injuries such as bandaging, performing physical exams and screening, and diagnostic work.

6. Update hospitals with modern technology to help reduce non patient duties. This can include creating electronic patient files and other important electronic documents and files. Computer orientated patient management can drastically cut down on time away from the patient. Physicians will have more time to focus on their patients.

7. Streamline business operations, particular reducing time dealing with health insurance companies. Physicians can spend many hours each day on the phone with their patients’ health insurance providers. Create a website that allows doctors to enter in a patient’s health plan and identification number which will pull up the patients file containing what treatments and procedures are covered by their insurance provider.

Patients do not always understand why they see a doctor for 5 minutes or why they see several doctors in a family practice setting or during a brief stay in the hospital. Doctors have a lot of added burdens outside the care of their patients. As well, less time with patients can result in poor quality patient care, a higher chance of making a medical error, and even making an error when writing prescriptions. It is important to find and implement measures to increase the physician and patient ratio as it will benefit the medical care industry as well as the doctors and their patients.

SLP school staffing provides highly qualified, full- or part-time healthcare professionals for travel nursing, speech pathologist and occupational therapy jobs.

Litigation support services – (What is this) help for the trial attorney is here. If you are a trial attorney you know how complex this field of law has become. Yes many cases do not reach the trial stage. Many cases are settled out of court. Many cases are handled in dispute resolution. But many cases still get in front of the jury. And that is where litigation services can help.

Who can say why the public is fascinated by jury trials? Movies and television depict them as high drama. We see the wrongly accused being defended by the courageous truth seeking trial lawyer who only wants to find out the truth. The lawyer backs the diffident witness into a corner and she is able to squeeze out the fact that the witness is trying to protect a friend who was the real criminal in all of this. The witness breaks down in tears and the wrongly accused is free thanks to his lawyers tenacity and quest for justice.

Today in real life court you will have a better chance of winning if you present your case in video rather than audio testimony. One way litigation support services can help your case is putting together video testimony that will help support or explain your case. If your client was hit by a car while he was crossing the street you can better prove this when you can show a video reconstruction of the incident. Litigation support services have experts in video technology who can do this for your case.

The reality in this 21st century is that we all watch television and all see movies with special effects. We are used to the video image. This is what the average jury wants. They want to see a video to help them understand your position. Litigation support services is where you need to go to help you give the jury what they expect.

If you have a medical malpractice case litigation support services can create an animated video demonstrating the medical procedure in question. When the jury sees your video on how the procedure was supposed to have been performed you can better present your case on what did or did not go wrong with the procedure. Litigation support services can also provide you with the most experienced and qualified legal experts to help prove your case.

Most experts do well under direct. But they fail you sometimes under cross examination. You need a litigation support service to provide experts who will hold up under tough cross examination. You do not want all your time and money you spent on one expert witness to be wasted.

Some lawyers think that all they need to film a deposition is a video camera and a charged battery. Then after they realize that there is no audio on the tape they wish they hired a professional You want to look at litigation support services for all your video recording needs. Most services even keep a back up of your videos like your depositions in their archives.

You need in this day and age of complicated litigation a litigation support service you can trust and count on.

Our superior court reporting service maintains most stringent guidelines and guarantees that our court reporters and litigation support services are certified and skilled in the latest technologies.

With the growing concerns about global warming, rising oil and gas prices, and the increase in pollution in our air, water, and soil, governments from all over the world are now searching for ways to implement more renewable energy sources. The supply of fossil fuels is finite, and eventually the world’s non-renewable energy sources will be depleted so it has become essential to use green energy to create a sustainable future.

The following are a number of innovative green energy solutions:

Hydroelectric Power: Water is an environmentally friendly source of energy and is the most widely-used renewable source of energy. This green energy is generated by driving turbines from the force of falling water. How much energy is produced will depend on the available water flow and the height that the water falls. The fast flowing water powers the water wheels that drive mechanical processes. This is transformed into mechanical energy. The turbine’s rotation spins electromagnets which generate current in stationary coils of wire. The current is then sent through a transformer where the voltage is amplified for long distance conduction over power lines. Water energy dispenses about 60 times less than a coal plant and 30 times less greenhouse gas than gas power plants.

Wind Power: Wind power is generated using the wind. Wind turbines are used to generate the energy. The wind blows the propeller causing it to turn and this causes the turning of a generator to produce electricity. They can be installed wherever there is a good supply of strong wind. The more wind towers and the larger the propellers, the more wind, and the more electricity is produced.

Solar Power: Solar power is the production of electricity from the sunlight. This type of power can be used for heat and electricity. The solar panels harness the sun’s energy without moving parts, pollution, radiation, or noise. One method of using solar energy involves using mirrors to reflect and focus the sun’s rays, providing heat, which helps power a generator. Another method is photovoltaic panels. Solar panels are installed on the roofs of buildings and homes. The panels run generators which provide the electricity.

Geothermal Energy: This energy comes from the heat within the earth. One will capture this energy source by drilling a hole into the ground to acquire the heat. The heat that is harnessed is used to heat water and create steam to power the generators to create the electricity.

Biomass Energy: This is energy from trees and plants. These plants are harvested and their energy is converted to ethanol which can be burned directly by power plants or vehicles to generate power. Ethanol can be added to gasoline that goes in vehicles. However, recently bio-fuels have been found to be a source of greenhouse gases.

The use of renewable energy sources are increasing throughout the world. Solar and wind energies are two alternative energy that have made significant growth in their use. By using green energy, we are helping to ensure a healthy future and planet for our children.

When looking for expert knowledge and professional service for alternative energy, wind power, and green energy, come visit us for Canada’s best selection of science & astronomy products!

The majority of scientists and other experts now agree that human activity is having a negative impact on the planet. Global warming, increased pollution, and our diminishing natural resources have resulted in an urgent need to change our lifestyles. One way of creating a more sustainable environment is by building eco friendly homes.

By building eco friendly new homes we are protecting our forests and reducing the amount of toxins and green house gases being released into the air. For instance, bamboo is becoming popular as a source of wood for building homes. Bamboo is durable and it grows quickly therefore we are replenishing forests quickly instead of depleting them. As well, it absorbs four times as much carbon dioxide as most trees.

Another method of obtaining wood is through harvesting wood from sustainable forests and from recycled wood. One should consider using “green” lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.

Acquiring furniture made from eco-friendly methods is another way of protecting environment. There are many companies that recycle old furniture into beautiful products. As well, waste wood from lumber yards and wood from sustainable forests are also used to make eco-friendly furniture.

For concrete foundations, fly ash, the residue from coal-fired power plants, can be used to replace at least half the cement used to make concrete. Utilizing fly ash reduces the cost of concrete, and produces a superior quality product.

One main source of indoor pollution is carpeting and rugs. They are known for collecting toxins, dirt, dust, pet dander, pollen, and bacteria. Using an eco friendly carpet made from eco friendly materials helps reduce the amount of indoor harmful toxins in the home.

Other methods of making a home eco friendly include:

- Make sure windows are air tight to reduce energy consumption. – Use recycled and environmentally friendly insulation that do not contain any chemicals. Baled straw is a good choice. – Bricks can be recycled and reused with very little processing and energy consumption. – Concrete countertops made from recycled newspaper and fly ash – Paint walls with an eco-friendly paint. – Use energy efficient light bulbs. – Install ventilation systems to remove dust, dirt, and toxins that are in the air. – There are a host of energy efficient appliances on the market such as refrigerators, washers, water heaters, etc. – Install cabinets that do not contain any toxic substances – Install fans in the bathroom to remove moisture and install exhaust fans over the stove to remove gases. – For flooring, use either cork, bamboo, hardwood from certified sustainable forests, or biodegradable linoleum. – Install low flow shower heads and water conserving toilets.

According to the Worldwatch Institute, an independent organization that evaluates serious global issues, “one-fourth of the world’s wood and one-sixth of its fresh water are used in building construction”. More companies are now responding to consumers’ demands for an eco friendly lifestyle. Because there are now such a wide range of earth friendly materials available, building an eco friendly home is one way we can reduce our carbon footprint.

Ranging from luxurious interiors to fresh exteriors, our service is dedicated to providing a warm Guelph home for families and individuals. Asides from home building, home improvement is also highly emphasized. If you are looking for greater detail for guelph homes, please visit us!

Globalization has made the world a much smaller place. Finding a place on the global stage is now a matter of survival for many companies. Broadening horizons means a meeting of cultures and this is where potential pitfalls arise. Understanding the complexities of cultural beliefs can be daunting, but it is still a necessary part of the process for success.

Why Go Abroad?

The answer to this question is as simple as saying, go where the money is. Companies don’t take their brand to foreign countries out of a sense of altruism. For any company that plans to compete on an international level, there are certain considerations that cannot be overlooked. These include:

- An understanding of the laws of the country or countries in question – Staff that speak the language of those countries – A full grasp of the social customs and idiosyncrasies – The cost of operating in a foreign country

Many companies have managed to operate in countries where they did not originate. It is for this reason why having and reading literature about a country’s culture is important. Some companies that have established branches overseas sometimes write their own manuals about operating in the country. This information is generally quite useful as training material for staff that might be representing the company overseas.

Understanding the Culture is Essential

In some cultures, a minor misunderstanding can lead to deals being terminated and business ties being severed. While this may seem excessive to some, it is important to note that etiquette and formality are rigidly observed in certain cultures. Learning the language is a good first step, but ensuring success in foreign lands means going a bit further.

In the United States for example, many meetings take a less than formal tone, especially if the parties are known to each other. This would not be acceptable in Japan, a country that thrives on observing formalities and adhering to certain standards of etiquette. Of course, this does not mean that Americans are rude, but in certain circumstances their behavior might be interpreted as such.

The idea of a foreigner causing embarrassment has provided fodder for countless commercial and movie storylines, but it is a very real concern. This poses significant challenges for a company with foreign branches that must function as a cohesive unit. While there are customs and languages that are peculiar to each country, these tips might help employees navigating this often tricky minefield of cultural exploration:

- Be observant: Observe the behavior of others can provide insight into what is expected of you – Less is more: This is certainly true when it comes to personal questions. Allow the individual to share personal information at their own pace – Be honest: If your knowledge of the language is not all it could be, make this clear to your hosts. They will most likely switch to English to make you more comfortable – Read about the culture: Take the time to find out about the country in which you will be doing business. It might just impress your foreign partner that you took the time to learn about them.

The term ‘culture clash’ might seem a bit clichd these days, but that is exactly what happens when two business from different countries come together. There will be an initial sense of caution as the process of getting to know each other gets under way. It is also important to treat someone visiting your company from another country with respect. Business deals that cross the border have become commonplace in recent times. Don’t let avoidable errors prevent your company from achieving global success.

Looking for a job in an English Speaking country? Learn English online and get the lessons you need to write a resume cover letter. Online English classes will help you speak English learn English and write English in no time.

I had grown up wanting to be a lawyer. When I entered law school my plan was to become a criminal attorney. That changed after my first DUI defense. I went to a small law school. It was accredited in that I was able to sit for the bar exam once I graduated. But it was not American Bar Association accredited. I went to a small law school not ABA accredited because for one reason my grades were not good enough to get into a larger more well known school. And I was already in my mid twenties and had a full time job so I needed a flexible class schedule.

But going to a small unaccredited law school also meant the government would not be quick to offer me a position either. But I only wanted to graduate so I could take the bar exam. I figures I could think later about finding a lawyer job.

Government work is the best place to get criminal law experience. Really, it is the only place. Most if not all criminal law lawyers in private practice worked for the district attorney office or the public defender to begin. But most if not all of those jobs go to graduates or ABA schools. But I was able to get an interview with the county I lived in. There was a state wide hiring freeze because of budget shortages. But it was lifted for one position in the county public defenders office. I got 88 out of 100 in the interview. I knew this was not high enough with all the competition for one job opening.

A week later, I received a letter from the state saying that the hiring freeze was reinstated. They did not even fill the one position before putting the freeze back on. I decided to take a continuing legal education course on drunken driving defense. The course was a three day program and after the course I thought there was really nothing to it and it should be simple enough.

I put a small advertisement in the local shopper offering my services to those who needed help with their DUI charge. My phone rang non-stop it seemed for three days. I went to court the following week with my first client in the court house across the street from where I had graduated from college. I had never been in one of the court rooms I thought as I was parking my car.

This was my client’s first offense so he was looking at any jail time. And his alcohol level at the time of his arrest was above the legal limit. There was nothing for me to contest. But I was there basically to hold his hand during the process. But I did want to go through the steps I learned in my class. I approached the deputy district attorney at the opposite side of the courtroom and waited patiently while she chatted with the courtroom bailiff.

I went over to the deputy district attorney to discuss the charge and the penalty she would agree to as I learned in class. She was chatting with the female bailiff. I patiently waited for her to finish. The bailiff looked me up and down, turned her nose up and walked away. When I asked the deputy district attorney about the charge and penalty she curtly said I would find out from the judge. She said this without looking up from her files.

I was treated very politely by the female judge however. I think she probably came up the ranks of the public defenders office. My client got the basic penalty he was due and although his license was suspended for one year, I was able to allowed to drive to and from work and while he was working since driving was part of his job. But I pulled the ad from the shopper. One DUI defense was enough. One criminal case was enough for me to change my mind about criminal law. At court I felt like I was the one who was on trial not my client. But the truth of the matter is, the criminal attorney is the agent of the accused and has to know that going into not only the courtroom but into law school.

Having a well experienced criminal lawyer Fort Lauderdale is greatly beneficial to the case. A Fort Lauderdale criminal attorney will use their expertise to fight for your welfare, guaranteeing the best possible outcomes.

When there is a downturn in the economy and sales start to plummet, one of the first things many businesses start to do is downsize in an effort to curb costs. Since the early 1980′s, this has become a common practice for many businesses. The negative effect on employees is one of devastation. Those who survive downsizing tend to lose morale and trust in management. The psychological effect results in anxiety, paranoia that they are next on the list to be laid off, and an overall unhappy work environment. However, there are measures a business can take to reduce the number of layoffs during bad economic times.

The following are a number of tips a business can implement that can reduce the negative effects of large scale downsizing:

1. Companies can use job recruiting services to hire employees who have the skills to meet the company’s long term vision and goals. This will lessen the chances of having employees who are expendable, and then, a less chance that there will be massive layoffs.

2. If the business has a number of different departments, cross-train your staff so that during difficult economic times, they can be moved around to other departments instead of being laid off.

3. When positions within the company open up, hire from within the company. This will ensure that employees get a chance to stay employed, and if there is a concern about near-future economic instability, management does not have to fill the position that the employee left in order to take the new job. As well, managers should periodically assess their career development skill requirements to identify skills that their employees will need to acquire positions that become available. This will allow employees to acquire skills and education to fill positions that become available.

4. Management can work with human resources consulting to identify which employees are ready to move into management positions. When the employee moves up the corporate ladder, management can leave their previous position vacant.

5. Management can offer employees special incentives to come up with new and innovative products and services to market and sell in order to generate more revenue.

6. Management can implement cost saving strategies. This can include: reducing hours during difficult economic times, working a four day week, and laying off employees for a few weeks to save money, but then bring them back to work. As well, when an employee retires, do not fill the position, ask employees to work a few extra hours volunteering, and offer a leave of absence to some employees until the economy starts to recover.

7. Offer employees shares and stocks in the company in return for taking a pay cut.

8. Offer the employees the opportunity to buy into the company and become part owners.

Although downsizing has shown to be an effective way of cutting costs, most companies prefer not to layoff a large number of employees. Fortunately, with a little creativity and good business management plan, a company can take measures to reduce the negative effects of downsizing on employees, the business, and the staff that survive downsizing.

Children are little sponges with a capacity for learning that can be downright astounding, which is why one can teach a child English faster than a full grown adult.

Children are little sponges with a capacity for learning that can be downright astounding, which is why one can teach a child English faster than a full grown adult.

It is said that children can learn and say about 50 words around 18 months. At this time, they can begin to use new words only after hearing them spoken aloud once. By the age of 2 they know roughly 250-350 words and a mere six months later their word capacity can double to around 600.

Interestingly enough, they learn language without any formal training, but merely by listening and picking up patterns of speech. Speech is then translated to visual objects to which the sounds apply. Kids then correlate phonetics to these objects and know that the sound-words are used to describe them.

This information can be used when formulating games that teach English. With games, a child can firmly grasp a new language in a fun and easy way that resonates with young minds. This enables them to retain the information that they have gathered for real world applications.

Finding Online English Courses for Children

There are many tools at a parent’s disposal when it comes to teaching a child English. One hands-on approach is the use of flashcards. Flashcards are typically illustrated with the words one is trying to instruct their kids to learn on them. While these can be a handy teaching device, the best approach is to find a fun, more interactive way to educate your child in the English language.

An on line English class may be just the ticket. There are numerous courses, both free and for profit, that can be found via a diligent web search. The kind of Internet course you opt for will largely depend on you needs and what you can afford. Just note that paid courses can offer a lot more amenities than those found on free sites.

Types of Games

Many games that teach English will employ the use of songs or phonics to engage the child’s mind and make them more open to retaining language information. Animated films, images, pictures and interactive puzzle solving are also methods that have been proven to help teach a child English fairly quickly and easily.

When investigating the various techniques, try to see what your child responds to. Every child will be different and what works for one may not work for another. When you locate a system that works, stick with it until it appears your child has reached a plateau and then switch gears.

Above all, remember to keep your child’s imagination and attention engaged. If education becomes a chore, young minds will refuse to participate.

Children Respond to Ritual

Studies show that kids responds well to structure, so if you are really set on teaching a child English, you will need to set aside a special time of day everyday, for instruction. The child will soon acclimate to the idea that learning English occurs at certain time of day and may even come to you to remind you its training time.

Teaching a child English can be a richly rewarding experience when adults keep in mind that they have to approach the endeavor creatively. Utilizing games that teach English is one way to do just that.

learn English online and get the business English lessons you need to get a job in an English speaking country. View a sample cover letter and resume sample that will help you write a professional resume.
